necro with fireball support viable in hell?

Hi!

I'm kind of new so..anyways, I was wondering would a necromancer with 20to skel mastery, raise and corpse explosion would be able to do hell with 2 or 3 pieces of Trang-Oul's ? I was thinking of actually switching to a different kind of necro because to me its a bit annoying that the skellies are always behind me, having me run into combat and backing off, giving them support from behind. Then all of a sudden, I got 2 pieces of Trangs and i'm liking the fact that i shoot fire balls in front of them!

I don't have godly items yet,but I was wondering if I do get, shako, mara, enigma, hoto or beast, homonuculus, trang belt and glove, with sojs and Arach, would I be able to do hell not just solo? I"m sure some one out there has thought of this before and tried it, so please give me your inputs! muchly appriciated!|||Hiya, kind of welcome to the forums :P

Even with lots of other +skills the fire skills on the set won't do much damage, so that's a bad idea. A necro's skeletons act more like a meat shield than anything else. They do very decent damage, but more often that not your merc is the most important part of the build since he can get the first kill more easily (so you can use CE). Cheap stuff you can put on him are Insight(ral-tir-tal-sol) or Obedience(hel-ko-thul-eth-fal) in a polearm and Treachery (sheal-thul-lem) armor. None of the other necro builds are as good with starting equipment as a summoner, so I'd stick with him. You could invest your spare points in bone spear and bone spirit if you want to do while not cursing or using CE.

Your ultimate goal would be to get the Enigma runeword which gives you the ability to teleport and allows a much more aggressive play style.|||Treachery is the Assasin armor..I'm not understanding why this armor?for the speed of it? Insight is all set on him, although i don't remember what type of weapon its in. I'm level 49 atm and already got raise skele, mastery maxed, working on ce now. What should it be after thats done too?|||its really all up to personal preference at this point. summoners are very flexible with there points. you could max out skelly mages for more meatshields and additional damage. you could put some points into revive if you want an even more massive army. or you could do the whole bonespear/spirit/prison.

but really once you max out your summons and get 1 into the curses you want its all up to you|||thank you guys for the replies!!

My next main question is, is there a necromancer build which allows me to make the skellies attack, ((without me having to run in,get them there, and me backing off))in front of me, and me giving them support by teeth?bone arrow?? would either off these get enough damage to make it worthwhile?|||the best thing you could do is get enigma or something with teleport charges. though i suppose you could use bone spear to get the melee to come to you but i doubt it would work on ranged mobs. i like to have one of the moves bone spear or something like that leveled up once i max out the things i want just so i can have something to do on bosses other then curse|||Quote:

Thanks for your input! I was thinking the same idea, except during gameplay time too,you know? Not just when there I am against a Boss. At the moment I get the fireball working for me, I'm in Nightmare, and it's already isn't so great. It does some damage but I would like waaay more ) if that's possible.

- cheers|||Well the only viable spell from the Trang set is the Firewall, which I have at lvl 21 and it does about 2500 dmg. I actually have it hotkeyed as it's useful against Souls and some other things. Remember with the Lower resist curse, it's more effective than one would otherwise think. Otherwise I use this necro as a PSN/Summon with PSN Nova (9.5k) as main attack and Some skeletons as support. Contrary to what people say about Enigma, it's not necessary and this is stilla fun char in teams or solo. Lvl 94 atm.
