Just started playing again after a 2-3 year break.
I play HC, obviously not loaded atm.
Playing a Fishymancer, pretty standard build.
I'm looking for a gear setup that is cheapish that will give me max resists, max block, some +skills and *decent* MF and Cannot Be Frozen (I know I won't have amazing MF with such a gear setup).
Obviously, MF will have to suffer. The setups I am looking for best combine the above, while still have useable MF (150-200 range hopefully)? Is this simply impossible on a budget?
If you can help, I would like 2 setups to shoot for, 1 for NM and 1 for Hell. The reason for 2 setups is I will spend a chunk of time in NM farming Andy/Meph and upgrading my suit for max resist before I go to Hell.
I probably will never have the stuff to get Enigma, so please keep this budget minded.
Thanks! Some ideas to start ---
Lore rune word.
Rhyme, Homonc when I have the PGems to afford it.
Vipermagi.
Wand with skele/mastery.
I need some help here :/ My last HC fishy died doing NM meph runs when I ran into a pack of the little guys in Durance who whacked me with a quickness. I was basically all out MF geared, this time I want to be more survivable.
Level 27 ATM. just at the point that I can start building my suit.
Thanks much in advance!|||Here's a copy paste of my build and ideas. There's a mid-level gear section which talks about very cheap, very effective gear.
Some other ways of getting mf are things like putting 4 ptopaz in a 4os armor (I do that most ladders when starting out). Chance guards are cheap if not high, as is goldwrap.

So, health AND block AND resists are very important to you.
My guide might be a waste of time, but maybe it will spawn some ideas.
Teleporting to meph is a death trap eventually. There's nothing you an do if you get a fanatically enchanted doll and you land on it or it dies next to you. Its rare that one is beefed up enough to one-shot you, but it will happen sometimes without a CTA.|||Quote:

Yeah, that was why I posted. I'm solid on how to gear one for SC MF, HC pure survivability, but trying to get proper resists, block, health, CBF and some skill while still having 150ish MF isn't so obvious.
Most people gear allout one way or the other, and I am trying to figure out how to still MF while being survivable. I don't want to lose my Fishy like I lost the last one

The kind of things I am wondering are:
-- Should I maybe throw a socket in a Vipermagi and put a PTopaz in it?
Stuff like that that would maybe let me do all the stuff I want to do simultaneously, albeit less efficiently.|||Ptopaz shako, chanceguards, gheeds and gul dagger is the ultimate easy mf setup imo which sacrifices almost no survivability, a little kill speed (you move the summoning wand to your weapons switch for prebuffing) and gets reasonable mf.
edit: forgot to mention to throw a skullder's on your merc, they get about 1/3 the kills and most of the boss kills.|||They get far less than 1/3 of the kills for a summoner. CE gets most of the kills. But, still wouldn't hurt.
