Help make my PVP-Summoner perfect

first off, i'm new to pvp summon necros and i couldn't find a guide that was pure pvp so i'm asking for some suggestions

ok, i'm going to go over my current gear

helm - shako (can't afford circlet now)

armor - enigma

belt - arachnid mesh

gloves - trangs

boots - marrows

rings - raven + rare fcr +str and resist ring

ammy - maras (can't afford better now)

weapon - beast (for fanat)

shield - this is the only item i haven't decided on/gotten yet

with spirit or darkforce i could hit the 75% fcr breakpoint but do i need that much and even if not are both shields better than homunculus? i am guessing so.. but i've always liked homunc on my bonenecro for max block but with summons i feel i will put everything in vita because they'll take the brunt/all dmg

ok for Merc, i have act 2 might with bramble (for thorns) andy's helm and infinity on switch with pride (infinity to kill and get my summons, then when i have them switch to pride for concentration aura

stats..

i am assuming..

str - just enough for gear

dex - enough for max block or nothing

stam - all else

nrg - 0



skills..

i am thinking..

max skellies

max mages

max skellie mastery

NONE into corpse explosion seeing how this will be pure PVP

curses for pvp like amp dmg and iron maiden

clay/fire golem (thoughts on this?)

that leaves me with quite a bit of skill points remaining and i haven't a clue as to wear to put them all. i'm guessing my options are may be..

bone spirit, bone armor, golem mastery, revives, summon resist?

it's been a long day and my brain don't work so good right now so if you could give me a few suggestions that would be great, thanks|||I dunno what to tell you exactly, but I can tell you that after plus skill gear is on there is no point in putting more than one point into summon resist. It just won't help that much extra after a certain skill lvl. After a while it only goes up like one point per lvl.|||My suggestion is to turn him into a bone necro.

Yeah, i had a bone necro years ago.. he was great, could even MF with him efficiently. I want to teleport on top of people and let my skellies do the work now.|||Hard to make anything perfect when you "can't afford it".

I've never PvPed with a Necro Summoner before, but just purely from intuition:

20 Raise Skeleton

20 Skeleton Mastery

1 Revive

1 Clay Golem

1 Golem Mastery

1 Bone Armor + Remaining Points

20 Bone Wall

20 Bone Prison

1 in Decrepify

Pre-reqs

Mages suck. You just need 1 point to get cold/poison mages for chill/preventing heal. Golem - take Clay Golem, because it slows your enemies. Fire Golem is useless.

125% FCR against Sorcs and Sins, could probably settle for 75% FCR against everything else. 75% = +2 Necro/10 FCR Amulet, +2 Necro Circlet/20 FCR, Trang's Claws, Arachnid Mesh, FCR Ring. 125% = Same as above, but feel free to lose the FCR Ring for a BKWB and maybe the Amulet for a Mara's, and go with 'Heart of the Oak' or Wizard Spike with Darkforce Spawn or 'Spirit'.

So I'd probably make sure your Necromancer can adjust to the following shields: Homunculus max block (against every build), Stormshield with Ber or Shael max block (against melee/Bowzons/Windies), "Spirit" and/or Darkforce Spawn (against teleporters when you need 125% FCR) no max block.

Weapons - in addition to 'Beast', make sure you have a 'HotO' and maybe 'Doom' stashed for 125% FCR and slowing down melee/Bowzons.

Curses - Amplify Damage/Decrepify are your main curses. Thorns aura and Iron Maiden is nearly 100% useless in PvP because of the 1/10 and 1/6 penalties. Just use Iron Maiden occasionally in conjuction with Bone Prison, otherwise don't use it at all. Amplify Damage most of the time, if they own you hard use Decrepify.

Merc - I would screw 'Bramble' and just put a 'Fortitude' and ethereal 'BoTD' on him or something so that he hurts as well. You could also do ethereal 'Eternity' and Blackhorn's Face for good damage and 50% slow, which will piss off a lot of people, but allow you to own them easy. You can also use a Rogue with 'Faith' and 'Fortitude' + Andy's/Blackhorn's so you can permanently carry 'HotO'/'Doom'.

Once again, all intuition. Someone with actual experience would be better.|||i appreciate it bbq, anyone else? i figured mages would be one more thing for them to hit instead of me when i tele on em + is bone armor a necessity in for summoner?.. i guess i can't see any other skills to put the points into except maybe bone spirit?|||Beware: Do not take my advice too seriously due to the fact that I have a lack of PVP experience and I haven't used a necro in about 2 months.

Now, If you were to use Bone Spirit you should be able to do a PVP easier but it's casting rate is slower than Bone Spear. I've PVMed on bosses for no apparent reason and Bone Spear usually kills alot faster. Although it has less damage its casting rate is faster thus giving you more damage (over time [in my opinion about 3-4 hits])|||I generally max mages just to add some more bodies to the mix and more damage for the initial telestomp.

Bone skills wont be worth it but bone armor might be worth investing in. Well its synergies anyways.|||Bone Armor is a necessity for ANY Necro. Its just foolish to go without it, its like free hp in both PvP and PvM. Somebody will hit you, whether it be a barb or a pally, and the bone armor will absorb what could be a fatal blow. Definitely get it.|||I cant agree its 100% necessary for any necro as my summoner never had a problem in pvm or pvp with max block and 1 point bone armor. I would 100% agree that max block is 100% necessary though.

What ended my duels ? Loss of the entire army never me. My necro retired from active pvp DEATHLESS over 100+ duels. Talking strictly melee here as I died to elemental chars or lost my entire army on occasions.

But saying that you could have a full attack force if this was strictly pvp.

With 1 point bone armor you will have 620 absorb and with it maxed 810.
