Dagger Necro- Staying Alive

What can I do to improve the survival of my dagger necro?

Defense is pretty well out of the question since I'm eventually going to be using Treachery armor. I *might* break 1k defense.

I'll have max block, but I somehow doubt that that will be enough by itself.

I'll be equipping pdr items (like Circlets of Life Everlasting). That registers before Bone Armor, correct? So if I get hit for 100 damage my 50 pdr reduces it to 50 damage to my Bone Armor?

If I can divert attention to a tank, that would help greatly. Do Blood Golems still leech life off reflected damage like Thorns/IM? I think that was "fixed" a long time ago, but still seems worth asking.|||Best bet is to use dim vision along with a merc and golem to lessen the attacks on you.

Are you pure poison dagger, or just maxed Pdagger for AR?|||Quote:

Primarily using PD for damage, although I'll eventually have a CB switch put together.|||Quote:

Bone Armor is applied before damage reduction, so equipping DR only helps when Bone Armor expires.

Blood Golem no longer returns life from returned damage. However, damage taken no longer gets returned to the Necromancer.|||So basically I'm going to have to use a golem and a high-def mercenary to screen for me?|||Although dim vision is a good curse for dagger mancer. I prefer maxed out confuse over dim vision because enemies attack each other. Use decrep vs boss battles for protection also.|||Quote:

If staying alive is the goal then you DON'T want to use confuse. Confuse only draws in more monsters. Monster don't deal enough dmg on eachother anyways.|||Why not try the Bone runeword? I seem to recall a thread with a Meleemancer who used it over spending skill points in Bone Armor and its synergies.|||You can also be used Revives for meat shields. Revive only needs 1 point to be effective. They aren't the smartest minions, but they help. Confuse or Attract also help. On mine, though, I just ran in, stabbed, then ran away.|||Quote:

Well we all have opinions but true dim vision works well too but depending on your game play.

Exactly what was coming up in my head. Thanks for bringing it up anyways.
