Eth Tomb Reaver or Insight

For my merc

I found an eth Tomb Reaver on Diablo just a few minutes ago.

250% ED

787 top damage

45 all resist

59% MF

2 socket (woo)

I am currently using

Insight Col Voulge (non eth)

237% ed

556 top end

I've grown fond of the insight's aura, but not sure if I really need it since I pretty much dont spam any spells except when I am collecting my minions and CE large groups.

The rest of my merc's gear:

GFace socketed with 36ed/8max jewel (needs the +15 str on this to wield the insight and the CB/DS is awesome for boss killing)

So I am looking for opinions on whether or not to switch my merc's weapon to the tomb reaver and what to socket it with if I do.

I rely on my merc quite a bit for boss kills, he just does it so much faster than my minions do.

Comparing the damage when I switch them out (rounding up):

1200-6500 with Insight

2000-7300 with TR

Also, I would still suggest using a insight |||There's no comparison.

If you are a mfer and if you teleport, insight is such a huge saver of pain and irritation that I would suggest using it over anything. Use infinity if you do ubers only. Otherwise, its just a waste.|||Try to get an eth elite polearm and make another insight. I know it get hard to get that polearm but yes thats the way to go. The meditition aura is good for bone necro hands down.|||I would imagine an Eth Tomby would be quite valuable. I'd either trade it or use it on another character. There are other, cheaper options to get a high damage merc weapon (Eth Obedience RW for example). And if you ever get an Enigma, you are going to want Insight (either on your merc or in Iron Golem form).|||Just a quick note on the reanimated, they only last ~60sec and are about as strong as a revive with no synergies that takes the form of a skel warrior. You get to keep the corpse though so its not all bad.

I did get 3 sockets on tomb reaver so was wondering, what would you put in a tomb reaver? I wasnt lucky enough for mine to be ETH though heh. Was thinking I might just put amn runes in it since i havent found any nice jewels.|||kaervek, I would either stick 3 shaels, or 15/3x's or maybe even a eth rune + shael / 15/3x's.|||Interesting thread.
