Going the physical damage route, naturally i gave him a fort and a phoenix shield for tonnes of enhanced damage.
His main attack was normal attack, no real ar % boosting gear so i had to use integer based ar boosting gear. Full angelics, sigon helm and glove, and also hsarus belt and boots. It brought him to a whopping 5k ar...
Naturally the nec has trouble landing a blow but he makes up for that with a few things.
Doom axe, maxed clay golem and maxed decrep.
Ever wondered how slow a character can move? You'll find out with this build

holy freeze slow down + clay golem slow down + decrep slow down gives the necro alot of opportunities to swing his weapon at the opponent.
My basic tactic was to get the clay golem to slow them down, cast decrep and move in on them with normal attack of doom axe. After landing one hit i'd run away and come up from behind and attack again. The slow down is very powerful so this is very much doable. The damage should be around 3k on screen so after decrep it should be around 4.5kish.
It started off as a joke but he did hilariously well in melee duels against quite a few people. He does best against smiters, melee amazons and shape shifting druids.
This necro was just a fun build I came up with, and I suppose the holy freeze is bad mannered but very rarely did I hear a complaint.
I mean how would it look if you cried bm about the tactics of a melee necro mancer that has 5k ar?

I figured out that you can hit the 152 FHR breakpoint, using the above gear, if you load your entire stash full of FHR/Resist charms: 9 FHR GCs and 9 FHR SCs. An Anni, a Torch, a single SC of vita, and you've got an inventory fit to make your average JSP goon aneurysm from sheer angry confusion if they don't just start screaming "NOOB OMG."
Of course, they'll more than likely murder you, but you'll leave them scratching their heads.
Max block with a Phoenix will leave my life pool in the gutter. Not like I'm trying to be viable here, but would maybe 50% block be an okay compromise?|||http://camstudio.org/ is what I use. Just remember to tune the settings a bit (Keyboard shortcuts and the video framerate, also install the loseless codec from the site.
Also consider Xfire's recorder, but it can't record desktop.
