Dex need to cap block

How much Dex would you need with Homunculus say at level 90 to cap block rate?|||Close to a couple hundred I'm guessing.

I'll check my character when I get up in the morning.

He's 86 and max block. Too tired atm.|||Quote:

Welcome Newcomer to The Darkness. Grab a brew and feel free to raise some corpses.

At level 90 you'd need 203 Dex to get max block.|||the formula:

(Your Level ) * 150 / (total block % from gear on shield ) +15 = total dext needed for 75% block. It rounds up.

so for homunculus at level 90:

(90 * 150 / (72)) + 15 rounded up = 203 like he said.

... the more you know...|||Just in case someone else posts a similar question...

For Homun (72%), it takes about 200 dex to max block (again, depending on exact level).

For Eld'd Trang's (67%), it takes about 220 dex to max block.

For Trang's (60%), it takes about 240 dex to max block.

If you're not using a shield with at least 60% blocking, you probably shouldn't try to max block unless your gear has very low Strength requirements, because otherwise it will eat into your life.

The best sockets for your given shield depend on whether or not you need more resists or want Poison damage. That said, the only runes you should consider socketing in your shield are Eld and Um. PDiamonds are budget alternatives to Um runes, and Rare Jewels with +Dex can easily outperform Ko and Jah runes for saving points in Dex to invest in Vit (effectively boosting HP).|||Homun is the best way to go max block but it takes up too much dex. But it depends on what you build.|||yeah I gotta say, max block is good on a char that needs to block, wouldn't say that most nec's fit in this class, tho with the +life per vita point going the way it is, meh.|||Quote:

Not really. If you use Homun, you're probably only going to wind up spending about 150 points on Dex, depending on your exact item setup and whether or not you get torch/anni. That leaves more than enough to get the strength needed for your gear (especially since there are so many really good +strength items in the game nowandays) and still hit 1k HP.|||Here's the block calculator that you can use:http://www.baronsbazaar.invisionzone...lock_calc.html
