Mage:20

Fire Golem:20

GM:20

LR:10

Revive:1

CE:1

SR:rest here

Gear:

HOTO

Maras

Soj's

Marros

Full invo of skill gc's and lifers

Merc: a2 holy freeze

Gear:

Infinity

Eth fort

Andys

The summens will be doing a constant 5-10k ele dmg over a 10 second time span with around -180 resists between me and my merc (-195 fire resist altogether) and about 4-5k fire dmg from trang spells.

Any one have any ideas for improvement gear wise? And any one ever try such a build? Please give your opinions?|||-Res jewels do not reduce resistance for your skeleton's attacks, just your own. Your -resist is actually more like -150 as opposed to -180, as LR hits ridiculous diminishing returns at level 10, so just put in 1 point and use +skills to get to the -55% level. Shaels for the FHR and Eld for the +Block Rate (saves ~20 Dex) are likely more useful than facets and a lot cheaper.

Fire Golem is still utter crap. I know it's kinda thematic, but you really should just junk it and use the points somewhere else. At the very least I don't think you should bother with the 20 points in Golem Mastery, Fire Golems probably do their best damage when they die. Besides, without another source of slow and no tanks, Clay Golem will be highly useful to you.

The only Trang spell worth mentioning is Firewall. It's impossible to get the FCR needed to seriously use Fireball, even if the damage on it wasn't absolutely wretched without synergies. Meteor has the same problems with damage, even though FCR doesn't matter as much with delay spells. With this setup, it will come up a little shy of 3k damage per second.

I also don't feel it's practical to use a full inventory of GCs and lifers. While your overall mage DPS can hit 5-6k, you won't have any inventory space to stash good drops.

Here's a similar build that I'm working on right now:

20 PN & Synergies

1 CE

1 LR

20 Raise Skeleton

1-18 Skeleton Mastery

1 SR

In this setup, the skeletons aren't used for damage, but rather as a distraction to get the monsters to stand still while I throw down firewalls and poison novas dealing a combined 5k damage per second with heavy -fire and -poison resists. Items are basically the same, except I'll eventually use a Death's Web instead of HOTO and a +10% FCR Blood Ring and 1 SoJ instead of two SoJ's. I don't use a lot of Facets, either. Just 1 Poison Facet in the Wand to get a nice Poison Nova if/when I die to make corpse recovery and army rebuilding easier. Because of Vampire's terrible cast speed, Death's Web is needed to extend the duration of Poison Nova beyond my Cast Speed so I can keep the enemies poisoned while casting it.
