So far I have 14k-15k on my character screen.|||What gear are you using? What level is your poison nova? I'll assume all synergies are maxxed and you're probably wearing Trangs Gloves for the +25%.
According to the Poison Damage Calculator excel sheet, with maxxed synergies and Trangs Gloves, you would need a level 65 poison nova to show 14K-15K damage.
I have some pretty high-end poison gear right now with a level 34 nova, and my LCS only shows around 9K.|||Quote:

lvl 65

What is the highest Pnova damage you can get without Bramble, skill shrine, CtA buff, and all while maintaining 75%@ in hell.
So far I have 14k-15k on my character screen.
............
I only have 12-13k WITH bramble(47%).
I think your bluffing....|||3/20/2 Circlet - 2x Facet
3/10 Amulet
Enigma
Arachnid
2x SoJ
Trang Oul Gloves
Deaths Web +2 with Facet
+3 P&B/ 3 Nova/2os Shrunken - 2 Facet
Random boots
Torch, Anni, 9 Skillers, CTA prebuff.
Total: +35 Nova / +50% Damage
According to the calculator(full synergy): 10343 - 10546 + 50% = 15666 average
With Bramble(Same setup): 9843 - 10046 + 100% = 19889 average
That shield is incredibly rare but the numbers should be correct.
Btw, how does a poisonmancer fare in 8 player solo Chaos? Anyone tried? Started to build one but havent really got that far so a bit curious

2/20@/20%FCR Circ w/ 5/5 facet
2/20@/20%FCR ammy
Enigma
Dweb (perfect) w/ 5/5 facet
+3 Pnb/+3 Pnova necro head w/ 2 5/5 facets (It's magic and took me like 4 months to find)
Arachnid Mesh
SoJ
SoJ
Trang's
Rare boots w/ 30%(or higher) in Fire, Lightning, and Poison res(My Diablo II Comp has been off due to no electricity in my house, I'm at my Aunt's)
Torch, Anni, 9 Skillers
And a bunch of res@ ,fhr, life, mana scs.
and that's w/o my CTA prebuff.
@Equila: It's pretty fast, Venom Lords take 2 hits w/ LR but everything else is 1 hit w/ or w/o it (depending on the enemy) Enigma is a must though... w/o it you can't get past the bugs (unless you use skele magi and infinity merc)
@Ghoulz: I'll post a pic asap if you don't believe me.
And I'm unsure of it's lv but I'm almost positive it is lv 62. Yes, I do have maxed synergies.
EDIT: I never said charms were out of the question :P|||2+2+2+4+6+1+1x2+3+1+9+20= 52 It's kinda impossible to get 65 or even 62. But yea, 14-15k'ish poison nova damage is possible and reachable

Resist % could be as follows:
Code:
SOURCE FR % LR % CR % PR %
------------------------------------------------------
10 Shimmering Small Charms 50 50 50 50
Annihilus Small Charm 20 20 20 20
Hellfire Torch Large Charm 20 20 20 20
3 Resistance Scrolls 30 30 30 30
Gloves 30
Rare boots 40 40 40
------------------------------------------------------
TOTAL 160 160 150 160
Switching to Mara's Kaleidoscope Amulet for the loss of one skill level could result in Resist 75%. However, I wouldn't get too hung up on maximising displayed damage: Lower Resist and -% Enemy Poison Resistance aren't taken into account, and -% EPR has a much greater impact on both rate and total poison damage.
For the record, maximum level 59 PN is currently possible with Battle Command and a Skill Shrine.|||It appears that I have miscalculated my skill+'s... oops :P And, you can get 6@ on a sc. so add an extra 10. And, not to be an ***, it said "while maintaining 75%@ in hell" but your setup is quite powerfull. I do realize that -Pr% and LR are VERY important (My LR has 20 hard points in it for an extra like -5% but that's just me being me) But I just wanted to see how far I was compared to "max".
I am going to toy around with a few Poison Setups (Curiosity never killed me, for I am not a cat :P) and I'll see what I like best.
*sighs* I really wish I could use Nergal right now (My lv 91 Poisonmancer) Strongest, Best, and my first Patriarch/Matriarch.
EDIT: Anyone know an efficient summon setup for a Poisonmancer with Bramble(I have a +50% one)? I'm assuming an Infinity Merc/Iron Golem w/ Infinity and mages but I would like your inputs.|||I'm yet to make a 1.13 novamancer, but my 1.11 Full Trang Oul's poisoner was dropping monsters like flies with 34,000 damage novas.
Data from an old analysis I did a few years back:
Quote:
Perhaps someone who knows game mechanics better than me can figure this one out.
What would cause more poison nova damage?
1) perfect 50% bramble
or
2) 4 socket armor with 5/5 poison facets.
We all know negative resist items like facets/trang shield, and deathsweb extend duration, so I am guessing that the faceted armor is actually more powerful.
Let's say your gear was like this:
+3 pnb circlet with 2x 5/5 psn facet
perfect death's web with 5/5 psn facet
+3 pnb amulet
Trang's belt
Trang's glove Trang's shield with 5/5 psn facet
2x soj's hellfire torch, anni, +9 pnb gc's
battle command
level 15 lower resist for -60%
level 48 nova max base damage = 7703
so that's like +28 to pnb skills for level 48 nova, +45% to poison damage, -95% to resists from gear, and -60% resists from curse, and duration increased +95%.
With Bramble it would increase poison damage to +95%, so 29291 damage over 3.9 seconds, with 58582 damage to things less than 56% resistant to poison after you curse them. Some less damage to more resistant monsters/players and less to ones whom you broke immunity.
With 4 socketed armor it would go +65%, -115% resists from gear, and duration increased +115%.
So 27326 damage over 4.3 seconds, with 54652 damage to creatures/players with less than 75% resistance to poison after you curse them, with damage lessening somewhat as resists go up.
Nice!
With Full Trang Oul's and not perfect x/-5 facets +deathsweb+1 soj+ 6 skillers+anni + torch I'm getting about 9k displayed with about 17k real over 3.9 seconds, and 34k to creatures less than 60% resistant.
In my calculations it looks like bramble edges out the faceted armor just barely. I'll probably just stick to my full set though because I like the tankness

Also to note that in PvP in hell difficulty, that poison length get extended even further for more damage to players.
