Awsome new build discovered

[:1]So I started my necro on the new useast ladder and have had terrible luck on drops, little to nothing useful including white items like wands. So with little to no gear I have been experiencing trouble at level 80+ in nightmare difficulty because I died so fast. Tried an explosionmancer build, tried a summonor build, and tried a poisonmancer build, but none worked out. After the poisonmancer build I got to wondering, what if I were to mix these builds.

As a result I ended up with http://www.diablofans.com/page/tools...0l5l0l0l4lal00

How it works is you go out and take 2 seconds to build up your 10 skeles using poison nova. Poison nova is your primary attack. Your skeletons tank everything for you so you don't get owned like you would with a low gear poisonmancer build. Your secondary attack being corpse explosion. For curses you use lower resists or decrepify depending on the situation. I found earlier on Andariel that decrepify makes this build really good at kiting bosses around even after your skeletons die.

Now consider, I almost died earlier in the morning on NM andy with a full poisonmancer build. I just solo'd hell andy with very little difficulty and have done countess a bunch of times now with no difficulty whatsoever.

Just something helpful for anything having trouble on the new ladder with gear dependency in hell.

Edit: for some odd reason the skill calculator I linked isn't showing 5 skill points that are actually already in skeleton mastery on the calculator.|||Novamancer with more investment to skellies? (or summoner with nova)|||If anything its a spec based on the idea of using mele skeletons to keep you alive at low gear levels while you stand back behind them and nova the mobs down. I would call it a full out hybred build based on the best of both.|||reminds me of my old necro from .09 patch back around 2001

used skellies and revives to keep them off of me, poison to help kill, corpse explosion the rest.|||Why not go with dual dream + infinity merc. >.>|||If you get lower resist from a wand or a head, you can get both all the 60points in poison tree and 20 raise skellie & (almost)20 mastery anyway|||The entire point if you go back and reread it is low gear, aka limited equipment. New ladder. Anyone who doesn't bot or buy stuff online has limited stuff right now.|||That is why I love the necro, so flexible. thanks for sharing it!|||That is where Necro shines in comparison to other chars... most of their skills have synergistic properties, but aren't actually considered synergies so they don't have the same restrictions. Namely, meaning they can benefit from +skills gear instead of hard points having to be spent.

There is a whole range of skills that can be accessed thru finding a wand/shrunken head either laying on the ground or shopped at the npc. That means you can save quite a few pre-req points. And then on top of that, there are many skills that will work with only 1pt placed, and then as you add +skills they are enhanced to a very playable lvl.

Skills that can at least work decently with 1pt+ are Revive, Clay Golem, Golem Mastery, Summon Resist, Bone Armor (with hard points into synergies instead), Corpse Explosion, Bone Spear (hard points in Bone Armor synergies), and any of the Curses.

All this means you just need a plan on how to make a +skill gearset, and you can hybrid all you want. So you are new on ladder, have no gear... how do you get enough +skills? It's easy. You make a standard Fishymancer to start, which will dominate Normal and early NM as well. Start running Countess in normal and saving all runes, and then NM Countess when you are able.

Make Lore, Spirit Sword, Spirit Shield, keep any nice wands you find on the ground that have a +skill that would save you tons of points (like Decrep or Lower Resist) and consider making a White r/w, save any armors you find to sell to npc everytime you are in town for 30,000k-ish, build up gold to gamble amulets and circlets. Very soon you will either have a +2 skills ammy and circlet, or at the least +3 to your most needed skill tree.

Add it up, you are looking at +9-11 skills depending on what you gamble, all of it self-obtained and are things I successfully find every single ladder. No obscene amounts of bnet wealth needed, and at approx +10 skills you have enough to make even Corpse Explosion a decent skill for 1 point... leaving spare skill points to experiment with hybriding like the build you described. Pretty much only viable with Necros >.>|||Have u tried a full novamancer build with points into clay golem / golem mastery / summon resist? works very well the golem makes the tanking and u deal high psn dmg while being safe.
