hc fishymancer: fc or +skills?

hi guys. im currently level 79, with max RS, SM, CE, 1 point in all the necessary others and the rest of my points have been going into bone wall as a synergy to bone armour.

im playing in hardcore and i was wondering which way forward i should go?

arm of king leoric, homonc (with max block) and skills items like shako and sojs and trangs gloves, OR should i go hoto, spirit, magefist etc

or should i go a mix? hoto+homonc with max block?

also... how about using CoA with (2x ber?) as a helm instead of shako... loses some mana/life and a skill, but gains resists and dr...

in all of the above cases i will be using enigma.

not really sure which way to go... the aim is to solo WSK in hell, clearing the whole area.|||A mix

Do your initial summoning with AoKL then switch to HotO for the FCR and resist. Adding Trang gloves plus Arach or a FCR ring takes you to the 75 FCR bp which is plenty (I would only go for 125 FCR if you can get a really nice 2/20 circlet and 2/15+ amulet.). Definitely stay max-block with Homunc, Spirit is an all-round terrible idea :P

The CoA actually seems like a good idea, but I'm not sure. Since you'll have your skeles and Bone Armour Gloams will perhaps be more of a threat, so you could go for a 2/20 circlet with T-gods. You never know when you might tele into a room and get skewered from all sides by Gloams, while Might/Fanat enchanted frenzytaurs and the like are easier to evade. It depends to some extent on how aggressively you play as well. The CoA should make it much safer to telebomb and therefore speed up your runs, plus you usually find out quickly whether there are Gloams on the level (you can then change your playstyle and have Dim Vision ready).|||ok cheers, thats pretty helpful. ill work on getting the 75 fcr, trying to get hold of an arach atm.

i might leave the crown for now as its expensive, im guessing shako is still the way forward otherwise?|||Since u are on HC, then i would i get Hoto asap, because Arm of Leoric has a retarded mod on it(10% Chance To Cast Level 2 Bone Prison When Struck), which can get u killed rather easily, especially if u play recklessly. It summons the bone prison around you and the monster(s) and sometimes completely traps you both inside. Plus it can block you and your army in narrow spaces and 30secs are wasted again, because you can't move on.

I wouldn't focus on WSK, because it has the most dangerous enemies in the game, plus the monster rolls can be really poor there, too few monsters or sometimes it spwans Suicide Minion's who never drop any items. Chaos Sanctuary would be my top choice.

Greetz, Psyche|||I'd recommend running the pits till 85, CS till 90, then WSK onwards|||Quote:

Somehow I imagine that this wouldn't be much of a problem for a fishymancer jumping around with Enigma. But yeah, for a mere mortal such as myself, it would indeed be very troublesome. I've pondered having a telestaff on switch, but I haven't gotten back to my fishymancer since I abandoned him for explosionmancers.|||Carin shard, Stormshield. Play safe, play smart. +skills are totally overrated, your merc will be doing most of the DPS anyway, hardly a loss if skellies are a bit weaker. With this setup you will be buff as an ox and able to take punishment, which really counts. COA is not quite as good due to the high str req(only 126 on storm with strbug)|||Enigma: sometimes you will teleport into big packs of frenzytaurs/souls blindly. It happens to everyone. Max Block with Homunculus will save your a@&. Hoto is great for reaching 75fcr and allowes you to reach max resists in Hell. It's the way to go.
