Sorc/Necro team with enchant and summons?

[:1]Hi. I recently teamed up with a sorceress through NM act 2 and 3. He said he had vl 26 enchant, and kept enchanting my minions. The result was absolutely devastating. We barely needed to stand still at any time, running through the quests.

At +9 total to fire skills and with fully maxed warmth and fire mastery it would add 1223-1496 fire damage per minion, +272 percent to attack rating and it would last for more than 13 minutes. You would even be able to get a very nice orb aswell or energy shield for the sorc to melee.

Combine this with a couple of auras, a high lower resist and i'm thinking this could create a completely unstoppable army capable of taking on practically anything and beating it to a pulp in seconds.

I would like to try it at some point, any thoughts on how to improve the idea?|||I'm curious what the sorc did apart from entchanting. If he/she was also casting fireballs then maybe it wasn't the enchant that did the job.

There are several ways to make a sorc and necro summoner work well together. The combination in itself is already quite strong, because you've got the ultimate tank (20+ skellies) and a character that deals huge amounts of elemental dmg. My ideas to boost it:

- Focus on elemental dmg

- Get your merc or the sorc's merc to use Infinity. Get the other an Insight.

- Use Lower Resist yourself as main skill

- Max CE and use this as your main skill

- The sorc can be any single element, but preferably not fire because you already have CE. Cold shatters corpses so Lightning seems to be the right choice.

- Max mages so you deal even more elemental dmg, perhaps even get a Fire Golem for the Holy Fire aura

- Get yourself and the sorceress some fun auras, e.g. Doom axe for Holy Freeze and dual dream for you and/or your sorc

I realize I left out enchant, but I think wasting 20-40 points there isn't worth it compared with the option to max out synergies of a skill like Chain Lightning or Meteor.|||Quote:

The Sorc would stay behind most of the time and once in a while engage in melee, so it wasn't the fireballs. Just ridiulously powerful skeletons and revives.

I guess mages receive 1/3 of the fire damage from enchant, that would pack some extra power, yeah :-)

I really think this is a viable idea, especially with a melee-sorc. Think about it. just 30 minions would equal way more than 50k fire damage per attack wave when combined with lower resist or conviction.

Add the mercs, the regular minion attack damage and CE to the mix and i think it would be absolutely ridiculous It hardly sounds like a waste (would be 60 points with mastery though) but i could be wrong.|||Enchant + Summoner (preferably with poison) is awesome. The sorc could get FO as extra thing to do. The poison/summoner's main curse would be LR, which would help the fire, cold and poison damage you are doing. Add some physical damage to that, and the two would never face an immunity.

Definitely don't make yourself a curse-slave for the sorc, or ruin the sorc her fun by blowing up everything with CE. A good team is not necessarily the one that is most effective, but one where both enjoy playing together.|||Enchant has no penalty for ranged. The desciption lies

The mages attacks are spells, not attacks, so they don't carry enchant.

Ed: What? 40 skill points is too much to get enchant? Enchant + skellies is THE combination. Enchant should be the sorc's main purpose. Her other skill points should be used for spare stuff.|||Enchant can be way more powerful than that. My enchantress casts a level 57 enchant (with a +2 skill shrine) which lasts 25 minutes and adds an average damage of 6.2 k. I dont think you can get any higher than that but that damage really kicks *** if you enchant a multishot bowazon hehe. I mainly enchant my merc to make him create corpses for me faster so I can CE.|||Hi, you just gave me an idea. I'm going to get a demon limb and put it on my necro. It has lvl23 enchant charges. My necro wears Marrowwalk, so should have enough str.|||Hmmm, lvl 23 might not be of much use without mastery and synergy, but let us know how it went |||A friend and I use a blizzsorc/summonnecro combination and the lower res/ce/blizz works wonders(even though he does keep shattering MY corpses)|||The one from a demonlimb will have less than 100 damage. Although you can equip full trangs, maras, double SoJ and annihilus. Then fill the demonlimb, trang armor, trang shield and trang helm with 5/-3 fire facets, and then become affected by battle command.

That would give you a level 9 fire mastery, and +20% fire skill damage from facets, resulting in a total of +106% fire skill damage.

That demonlimb enchant would give you about 200 fire damage
